About the Company
The British Training Board are very proud to be a Community Interest Company (CIC) this means that we are company that helps a specific community to achieve a specific target or goal.
Our community is the Armed Forces and public services community. Our goal is to make the training and skills you achieved in the Armed Forces and other public bodies recognised by civilian employers and get you the best start on the way to your second career and to help you with your qualifications while still serving.
Since October 2014 The British Training Board has been operating and conducting market research into the skills translation market. Since the launch in 2014, we have successfully helped 3657 serving and Ex-military personnel to get recognition for the previous military and public services training and experience. The research pilot finished on 30 September 2017.
On the 5th October 2017, the Launch of the new British Training Board services included: one to one career coaching (while is service) to aid retention, skill translator service to “Shadow” their military or public sector job role, and to identify where the skills gap are, provide an ongoing year career development plan, that is designed to complement the role they are doing in the military or public service, while keeping the civilian accreditation so that when it comes to job search after a long and fruitful career they can move into civilian employment with little or no transition needed.
