Job Location: DR Congo Bukavu
Base Salary: €1600 and 1800€ net monthly (before income taxes)

Key Role and Responsibilities
The Area Security Officer directly supports the Country Director in the preparation of reports on the analysis of the context, the drafting of security documents and compliance with security standards. He/she will be responsible for drafting all safety report documents requested as part of the Security Department’s activity and is responsible for its administration.

Qualifications and skills required:
Education: University courses in International Relations or Politics, Sciences Po, business schools or similar;
Level of education required: BAC + 4/5;
Rigorous and meticulous approach to work;
Dynamic, autonomous and proactive;
Communication and reporting skills;
Excellent level in English, written and spoken (daily contacts with local teams);
Interest in international relief and development programs.

Conditions:
Salary defined by the salary grid according to level of education, expertise, level of security and level of experience: between 1600 and 1800€ net monthly (before income taxes)
Monthly living expenses allowance: $300
Accommodation in guesthouse and food
Social security, mutual insurance (MSH) and repatriation assistance (SOS International)
Transport to the mission and return ticket fully covered every 6 months (to the address specified on the employment contract)
Visa fees covered
A week of preparation for departure including 4 days of immersion safety training
Possibility to have a 30-minute call with a tax consultant
Psychological support (appointment with a professional)
