Trauma Medic
Location: Timbuktu, Mali
RELYANT Global, LLC is currently seeking qualified bilingual Trauma Medics. The Trauma Medics will provide medical services to a mine action services team OCONUS at the scope and level of a paramedic. This role will support search and rescue, medical, security, and an emergent force to support the contract and personnel in an austere desert environment.
Responsibilities
Immediate assessment and treatment of injuries, ability to identify and respondto traumatic life-threatening injuries
Ability to perform advanced airway management, advanced invasive procedures
Experience in wound care to include anesthesia and suturing
Knowledge of administering medications and familiarity of prolonged field care and pharmacology
Ability to assess OCONUS regional medical capabilities and respond with appropriate direction for MEDEVAC plans and procedures
Therapeutic procedures
Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols, and the Privacy Act.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
Five (5) years of documented experience in trauma management
One (1) year of trauma experience in a high threat environment
Must have worked at least a full six (6) months within the last three years
Hold qualification in Advanced Trauma Life Support ATLS or the following equivalent qualifications; ACLS; PHTLS; ITLS; TCC; BARTS; qualified and registered
Previous experience of military operations providing Tactical Combat Casualty Care
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Fluent in French, written and spoken (recommended)
